The patterns were made in sashiko embroidery, an old handcraft from Japan. My pattern Stuga (cottage) is inspired from the Swedish county Småland, from where both my dad and my mum's mother are from. My dad grew up on a big farm with lots of animals, I've heard stories about Småland since I was a child and they are my inspiration for the patterns. The original pattern was also produced for varoius products in Japan.
